This excercise
pertains to investigating web-based and/or local property records and
measuring distance from the edge of a residential street in a
subdivision or low-traffic area toward a home, school or business and
must be under the constant direction of an adult (parent, teacher or
designee of parent). Never stand in the roadway or extend any body
parts into the roadway. Stand back from the curb at least 5 feet,
perhaps more if traffic present. Do not extend measuring devices into
the roadway or cross roads at points other than official cross-walks.
Do not conduct this excersize on major roadways, busy streets or
hazardous areas. |
